Samsung OMNIA HD Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

It just about makes itself pocket-friendly by virtue of being fairly thin, but this is still a hefty handful of a handset. The screen is exceptional, clearly ahead of the iPhone, and does a terrific job of showing off both video downloads and 720p HD video recorded by its own camera. Indeed, the quality is arguably the best we've yet seen on a cameraphone, beating the likes of the LG Viewty Smart’s camera for detail and authentic colour representation.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Samsung Omnia HD i8910 is one of the best high-end phones on the market today. It even beats the iPhone in some respects, and has a good UI, strong feature-set and excellent camera capabilities. It has a brilliant large screen and exquisite imaging capabilties.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

TechRadar's tip for Samsung's handset of the year so far, easily taking 'Best in Class' in terms of media functionality. It can match the Palm Pre and the Apple iPhone 3G S in terms of ability and raw processing power, and just works in the right way when you need it to. A handset that we really had to work hard to find much wrong with.

letsgomobile‘s review Edit

The Samsung i8910 HD is a mobile phone providing many functionalities and a sleek design. The silver border and the shiny black finish make the phone look luxurious, although it also makes this phone scratch- prone. The AMOLED screen is extremely sharp, and the touchscreen works very smoothly.

If you want a decent phone with a killer cam and great screen, you'll love it. If you're a fan of Symbian, even more so. If you really need to type and navigate the OS a lot, try before you buy.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Samsung i8910 is a very capable and enjoyable entertainment mobile phone. If movie making and watching is one of the things you find yourself doing with your phone, then it is well worth checking it out. We'd prefer the un-Orange version though.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

There are some negative points with the i8910 HD such as the one-piece headset, no Google Maps, and slightly unwieldy size. But the good points far outweigh the bad, and if you are after a large-screened phone this could be a super choice.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

There never seems a shortage of heroes in this industry but every now and then a new breed emerges to change the rules of engagement. Ranks and titles are hard earned and we've seen enough contenders that barely deserve a hero's death. Now, here comes a gadget that knows the best shot at glory is the high-definition one. Will the Samsung Omnia HD be strong enough to bear its name with honor or will it crumble under the weight of expectations?

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

While the lack of 3G and expensive price tag will keep it out of the hands of the masses, the Samsung i890 Omnia HD is a powerful multimedia smartphone that rivals the other high-end touch-screen devices.

Gizmodo‘s review Edit

A Symbian-injected followup to the so-so Windows Mobile Omnia, the HD i8910 is a specced-out slab of phone from Samsung, with a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 8MP camera, HD video recording and a definite thing for multimedia.
