Olympus Stylus-7010 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

The 7x zoom is worth having, but other cameras offer better image quality and performance for the same price.

For the same $200 you'll drop on the Olympus Stylus 7010, you could do much better with a competing camera. If you want to keep the long zoom, the Kodak EasyShare M580 is your best bet. If you're looking for something more compact, try the Sony Cyber-shot W350. Both of these cameras deliver better image quality for the same price.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

I'm surprised by how poorly the Olympus has performed throughout the test. Its images have a lot of noise, it's slow and feels less well built than the other cameras on test. For me, the Olympus is out of the running. While it has a lot of features, it doesn't have as many as the Fujifilm or the Samsung.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Mju 7010 is coolly minimalist in appearance and whilst at times less can indeed be more, here it’s simply a bit un-involving. Take away the better than average zoom range and the fun effects filters and this is just another run of the mill compact that fails to excel or excite, the blame for which is largely down to its output.

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

The Stylus 7010 was a bit of a disappointment. While the feature list looks great on paper, its performance in the image quality, movie, and ISO categories was average at best.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The mju-7010 is an interesting looking camera with a decent specification. Build quality and finish are of a high standard, it is versatile and easy to use, and it is capable of producing good results in most normal situations. However its poor low light performance, limited battery duration, lack of advanced features and relatively high price make it less appealing in comparison to some very capable rivals.

DigitalCameraReview‘s review Edit

The Olympus Stylus 7010 provides a similar balance of dependably good pictures requiring little user input and dead simple ease of use that distinguishes many of today's more popular consumer digicams, but it's smaller, lighter, thinner, has a longer zoom (that starts at the equivalent of 28mm), and it's also cheaper than many of them.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

Despite the fact that Olympus has revamped its formerly rather tired looking menu icons and provided users with a funkier if cartoon-ish interface, plus shoehorned in some creative effects filters and user friendly features, the Mju 7010 is an otherwise fairly run-of-the-mill snapshot camera for the money.
