LG ARENA Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

LG's KM900 Arena is a touchscreen smartphone with multi-touch support, which places it in direct competition with Apple's iPhone. It has WiFi and 3G HSDPA for fast downloads, GPS with A-GPS (see FAQ, left) for navigation and a 5-megapixel camera that records DVD-resolution video. It's one of the first phones to include Dolby Mobile, which provides pseudo-surround sound through headphones.

The Arena is a very nice handset and it is really crammed with features. We wish LG hadn't bothered with the 3D cube interface, though.

reghardware‘s review Edit

Slim and eye-catching, the LG Arena has many attractive features. Its S-Class UI certainly raises LG’s game - it's intuitive, easy on the eye and more user-friendly than LG’s previous efforts - even if it’s still not quite up to the iPhone’s easy usability and smartphone flexibility. LG needs to work on message tapping - it's too fiddly for such an essential communication component. Nonetheless, as a multimedia handset, the Arena stages a high-class show.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Overall, this is a handset that hits some pretty heady heights but is let down badly in other areas. While the multimedia performance and homepage customisation are a real plus, the inability to text or browse the web accurately is a possible deal breaker. While some of the tiny-fingered among you might not have a problem with this phone, it clearly needs a stylus to operate to its full potential, and that's just not what people are looking for in touchscreens these days.

The LG Arena is a very neat, compact touchscreen phone with a fast and easy operation. Thanks to the new 3D S-Class User Interface and the touchscreen that responds with extreme accuracy, everything works smoothly and simply. The graphics are beautiful. The various start screens provide access to your favorite music, programs and contacts.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

It's not every day that we come across a handset which consistently meets our expectations for a high-end phone. The LG Arena is a wonderful multimedia device that has taken great strides in many areas - interface, touch technology, music and entertainment. If you take into account all this great stuff, add the novelty factor, the price tag of 350 euro (around 450 US dollars) seems reasonable.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Touted as being one of the best multimedia handsets of the year, the Korean chaebol launched its 2009's flagship mobile phone, the LG Arena (KM900). So what separates this handset from the rest of the other touch screen devices out there in the market?

On paper the KM900 Arena is a very comprehensive offering, meeting pretty much all the tech specs you could want. The S-Class user interface is also pretty good, pulling together all of the features of the phone nicely.

The Arena is a great little mobile. Brimming with features and with a well-designed user interface. Just don't expect too much from that claim of '3D'.
