NOKIA E75 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Nokia's E75 sits between the recent BlackBerry-style E71 and the ageing E90 Communicator. Rather than using the E90's clamshell design, the E75's QWERTY keyboard slides out from the bottom. The phone is far smaller than the chunky E90, which means the keyboard is smaller, too, and the sliding mechanism further limits the available space. The E75 also lacks the E90's huge internal screen and has only a single 2.4in display.

As Nokia smartphones go, the E75 is a superb example. Well built and with plenty of features, it is only the small screen that might let things down if you are into media rich activity such as Web browsing.

The main disadvantage of the slide-out keyboard is bulk, but this is one of the thinnest we've seen, though some others are a bit easier to use. But with good email and browser services, document creation and viewing, a decent camera and music player, aGPS and N-Gage games, plus access to loads of additional Symbian apps, this all adds up to a very powerful phone both for work and in-between jobs.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

With the E75 Nokia has delivered another finely tuned business-majoring handset. It has a strong line-up of useful features, with its discreet Qwerty keyboard slider adding to its enterprise-class messaging capabilities. With its connectivity options, smartphone capabilities and navigation capabilities, this is one powerful device to do business with. But it also has an impressive suite of consumer-enticing features as well, for those who like a good work-life balance on their mobiles too.

We liked the Nokia E75 a lot. Although we did see some issues that could be improved compared to its predecessor. After all, you don’t expect to lose out when you purchase a new phone. For example; the battery capacity which is significantly better on the E71. The fact the slide-out keyboard still partially depends on the numeric keyboard does not win any beauty contest.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Images began to leak of the E75 far back as November of last year, with the tag line of "Is this the new Nokia Communicator" - how wrong were we all, according to Nokia. Whilst the E75 was announced at Mobile World Congress in March, their upcoming N97 was announced at Nokia’s own conference Nokia World in December and seems much more like the next Communicator than anything else.

The N75 packs in pretty much everything you need for life on the move including top class email support, GPS, document creation and editing as well as a decent camera and music player. Add in the excellent battery life and roomy keyboard and you've got a seriously powerful phone. If you don't want the extra bulk - mainly in width - associated with the large touchscreens on the likes of the iPhone and Touch HD, it makes for an excellent business phone.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The Nokia E75 is a solidly built smartphone with two different, yet convenient text input options. Both the numeric and QWERTY keyboards offer a nice tactile click, and an updated predictive text engine is handy, too. The new built-in email client is miles ahead of previous versions, and makes setting up your email a snap. This is also the first Enterprise-focused smartphone from Nokia to feature a plethora of multimedia options, including a standard 3.5mm audio port, N-Gage gaming support, and a camera button that actually launches the camera application.

Softpedia‘s review Edit

Nokia E75 looks and behaves above average, thus it's supposed to stand out from the crowd. It offers the sturdiness and the security a businessman needs, thanks to the partial stainless steel casing, and the features needed to be reckoned as a true messaging device. Add to this one of the best QWERTY keyboards on the market and you have one of the best Eseries smartphones available.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

If we can think of one reason to take being told "to mind your own business" with a smile it would be the Nokia Eseries. A household name for enterprise users, it's hardly a surprise that each E-series update is greeted with plenty of excitement. The Nokia E75 is no exception, even if it doesn't really put anything new on the table.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Nokia E75 is a nice alternative to the current crop of slate QWERTY messaging smartphones, offering a compact design without sacrificing the keyboard or e-mail capabilities. However, without carrier backing, the unlocked phone is a bit expensive.
