The Impression is priced the same as the iPhone 8GB, and it seems that whoever would buy the Impression for it’s features would be better off just making the jump to the iPhone and the smart phone category as a whole. The full QWERTY keyboard and AMOLED display don’t make enough of a difference in the day to day use of the device to make a stark differentiation between the Impression and the iPhone. $199 is too much for this device, as full-featured, functional, and pleasant to use as it is.

The Samsung Impression has an extraordinarily bright and clear display--the first commercially available AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) screen. Throw in a roomy full QWERTY keyboard, an intuitive touchscreen interface, and some advanced features, and the Impression is one of the best midrange messaging phones I've ever seen. It has a few quirks, however, as it lacks voice dialing, a camera flash, and a 3.5mm headphone jack...

Phone Arena‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Samsung has been putting out a lot of TouchWiz powered devices over here in the last few months. Every wireless carrier seems to have some variant of the widget driven home screen. It’s pretty and gives a personalized look to each device. We’ve managed to get our hands on the Samsung Impression over CTIA with its beautiful AMOLED screen. It’ll be the first one available domestically with the new screen technology and also comes with a QWERTY keyboard...
