NOKIA N79 Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

There is a lot packed into the N79 and it is encased in a neat and tidy phone that is easy to carry around. If you don't want the latest touchscreen technology, then the N79 has a lot to offer.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The combined technology of the N79 Active adds up to a powerful multimedia device that's optimised for physical training. There are more specialised training monitor devices available but for non-professionals this provides everything you need to know plus a bit more. We'd have liked to see dedicated music controls to make it easier to act the DJ while you're working out but otherwise it's an excellent personal trainer.

The N79 seems to have followed the N78 with almost indecent haste, which is sure to irritate some, but the advantages are obvious – 5 megapixel camera, increased memory and battery life, plus N-Gage games. It's well worth getting, but if you take the plunge now, keep your fingers crossed that the N80 won't get here too soon.

If I were after an new N-series mobile and could bear to part with the SIM-free money, this is what I'd opt for. Less bulky than the current crop of dual sliders, the N79 offers lots of goodies in a pocket-friendly shell. I also like the (admittedly gimmicky) automatic theme changing as you swap backplates, and battery life is good.

The Nokia N79 is one of the latest Nokia S60 smartphones to hit the market. It features high-speed HSDPA 3G connectivity, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, and Xpress-On changeable covers.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

Nseries keep on throwing heavy-spec'd phones at us and there's no question they're hitting their best form in quite a while. About time we got less of a curve ball lookswise, Nokia N79 embodies a new approach to Nseries styling. As to the insides, the N79 sides with N85 to make quite a number of Nseries veterans fear retirement. A true all-in-one, and less N-gage, Nokia N79 is big enough on personality and inspiration. No wonder we're eager to see it in action.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Nokia N79 might not be the star of the N series devices, but it still shines as a great multimedia smartphone with plenty of features and fast performance.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Nokia N79 is another featured packed device in Nokia’s N-Range branded handsets. At a glace physically, there won’t appear to be much difference between this device to say the Nokia N78 or even the older N73. However, when you examine the N79 more thoroughly, you will notice some enhancements both in looks and personality...
