OK, it is beautiful to look at. But whether this, the array of bundled paraphernalia and what the 8800 Carbon Arte itself has to offer add up to a grand's worth of your hard-earned is entirely up to you. I am not convinced.

Ask not what your phone can do for you. It's Nokia Arte, folks, so the question is who you need to kill to have it. Exquisite materials, sophisticated slider design and state-of-the-art finish are doing their best to camouflage the fact that there isn't much your phone can actually do for you. In geeky terms, that is.

That is the name of the most expensive product in the Nokia catalogue – the only major company on the market that offers such exquisite models. The 8800 series of the Finnish phone maker is close to the lines of manufacturers like Vertu and Gresso, which offer even more luxurious phones. The rest is 'rabble', fighting for characteristics. On top remains the sensation aroused by expensive materials and refined design...
