Ownership period: less than 1 year.

This was kinda opener to the experience of Android. This has proven to be my best companion over last months. I had a hard time to get in y country but finally had it and is loving it. I have still kept it though I recently purchased nexsus One. T-Mobile did not release any upgraded post 1.6 But the phone is still an awesome piece. Very sleek design speacially the gear used to open the keypad.

OK phone... sort of

Ownership period: less than 1 year.

The phone is a bit slow, and the applications crash sometimest, the android os (cupcake) is very nice looking and has a bunch customization available. But i believe that it was a "first generation phone" and i feel as if i should have waited till the more polished phones like the Motorola Droid and Nexus One came out, those phones are more inline for comparison to the iphone or palm pre.. not this phone. The hardware is big and bulky and the keyboard is flat, but i personally can type very quickly on the keyboard because the keys are separated. It is made out of plastic and just wont give off a quality feel, it squeaks and rattles, and i havent even dropped mine! Also the battery cant even last 3/4 of a day, and the camera does not seem to be a 3 megapixle camera because of the poor photoquality Even though it may seem as if i dislike this phone, overall it is good because of all the apps in the marketplace and all of the customization available on the phone.. trust me, you can do alot with this phone.

Still pretty good...

Ownership period: less than 1 year.

I had this phone since the day it came out and it still works like a champion. it's definitely not going to win any speed races and the OS is a little dated compared to the Droid and the N1, but if you want a basic android to customize or develop software on, the G1 isn't a bad option.
