Sony Ericsson C905 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

With a battery life of 30 hours in our audio playback test, the C905 lasts roughly twice as long as the smartphones we're used to reviewing. Even taking into account the fact that WiFi, GPS and 3G usage will reduce this amount, it's still an impressive figure. It won't handle office documents and can't replace a smartphone for email or web use. Still, in all other respects it offers a great set of features and has a decent camera.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The C905 doesn't have the best 8-megapixel camera we've seen, but the camera controls are very nifty. The usual array of additional Sony Ericsson software makes this a top-notch handset in specifications terms, though its hardware design is a little clunky.

reghardware‘s review Edit

Sony Ericsson's brush and polish of its already impressive C905 camphone keeps it up-to-date with the competition in the 8Mp camera arena. The 8GB memory card helps, along with the welcome software additions, especially the BBC iPlayer, with Youtube, Smile Shutter, print ordering and SMS Conversation proving useful too. The C905 Plus hasn't exactly steamed ahead but, having a superb camera already, these upgrades merely serve to keep it just about in front – for now.

The Sony Ericsson is a good basic phone with a killer camera and well integrated multimedia features. Messaging is ok as long as you have an account among the limited number of providers embedded in the phone.

I still find this handset clunky to hold. But if you already have the C905 it is worth upgrading its software. I've given it an extra point for features over the original version and that is just enough to raise it to TrustedReviews Recommended status.

Softpedia‘s review Edit

For the first time, I have been really impressed by a Sony Ericsson mobile phone, starting with its design and features. Thanks to the new form factor imprinted, C905 is not just another Cyber-shot phone, but one of the best of this series. I'm pretty sure that this is the best camera handset manufactured by Sony Ericsson, but that won't last as the company has just announced the world's first 12.1 Megapixel camera.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

In June, Sony Ericsson raised the bar for cameraphones announcing the first 8-megapixel phone intended for the European market - C905. A few months later, it was made commercially available and its rivals had already been available for some time; Samsung had released INNOV8 and Pixon, and LG joined the party with its Renoir. The Cyber-shot model wasn’t first to hit the market, but it still might be the best so far. Although it is touted to be a 'real camera rival', the C905 has yet to prove that. The key characteristics in this aspect are a camera-like design, Xenon flash, face recognition, and picture tagging, thanks to the built-in GPS. C905 is the first non-smartphone of the manufacturer with an integrated WiFi support, which can be used for Internet access and...
