Good phone after 5.0 update

I had storm since it first came out and just like other blackberry devices, email push feature was great. However, first storm was choppy and there was so much lag. This was until 5.0 update was released. Now, this is one of the best blackberry phone ever (web + email)

It's Decent

I had my first storm 9530 from when it first came out to about a month ago. When it first came out, I thought it was awesome, but then I started to notice a few problems. It would restart on it's own, and sometimes at the worst time possible. Also, I noticed some quality issues as well. The screen, moved around way too much and began to squeak a bit. Also the battery back was loose. I replaced the phone about a month ago with the same model, and there was actually an improvement. The screen felt tighter, the back fit better, and I had less software issues. But now whenever I text an AT&T user, sometimes they don't recieve my texts and it's getting a bit frustrating.

Storm 1 is finally 'OK'

I've had the Storm for a year and I have to say, after a rough start it is finally just 'OK'. The software updates have solved the worst of the problems, but they can do nothing for the physical problems.

The screen still has issues with the click which make it difficult to use sometimes. That being said, you get used to it.

My biggest gripe with it, is frequent OS freezing and a strange bug where the keyboard blocks half the home screen and cannot be removed without a battery pull.

I bought this phone for my daughter. At this point, she has had no complaints, even though I see a lot of people are having problems with it. I gave it to her as a Christmas gift.

as a business user i really like the phone. i've had it for about 15 months. and while yes the web capabilities are not up to the standards set by current phones on the market, the email, visual voicemail and ease of use keep me going trouble free. if the leaking memory is still a problem for you install quick pull already and set it to reboot at 4AM everyday and the problem is no more. The phone wil keep me watching through the coming months while android matures, webOS tries to gain a foothold, and LTE arrives on the market. without my storm i feel like golem in the lord of the rings.

JUNK...at least IMO

Although the other user to have posted a review is under the name Britney Spears I will have to agree with her...The phone UI is not a bad interface, and even the clicking has its applications...however the constant freezing, memory leaks and inconsistent screen presses make this phone a no go in my book. I do still own the phone and build up more and more hatred for it the longer I have to sit on the sidelines waiting for a 1ghz Android variant to make it to VZW... If you like pulling your battery, watching a little black clock swirl in the middle of your screen, and having few apps then this phone is for you...

Although pros include, instant update of your email thanks to BIS, integration into social services which oddly blackberry doesnt seem to get credit for, and its a pretty solid phone in terms of build quality.

This phone SUX!

Whatever you do, do NOT buy this phone! The UI is ok, and was actually attractive, at the time, when I purchased it. But now, having been in the smart phone world, and seeing what else is out there, this phone blows; And I regret the decision to get this phone every single day! Not to mention, it craps out/freezes all the time, and thus requires a battery pull to restart the device. What a pain in the butt!
