Samsung OMNIA Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

We like the Omnia a lot. It brings Windows Mobile into a more consumer friendly world, adds a good camera and includes plenty of strong features. But both its optical mouse and its on-screen keyboards are disappointing.

The Samsung is laden with features that are present on rival multimedia phones, such as A2DP stereo Bluetooth, GPS navigation and HSDPA functionality. The Omnia comes with 8GB of internal storage and this can be boosted with a MicroSD memory card. Worthy of mention are the numerous file formats that the Samsung supports.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Omnia is the first Windows Mobile phone we've seen with such a well-specced snapper and Samsung hasn't skimped on the features either.

This phone can do it all, but it's exceedingly frustrating to use,and that counts it out.

mobiledia‘s review Edit

The Samsung Omnia from Verizon is a sleek and attractive phone, with more style to please the eye than some other Windows Mobile devices. Samsung's TouchWiz user interface was a good attempt at making the software easier to navigate and more visually appealing to cell phone users who now expect design on par with the Apple iPhone.

Gizmodo‘s review Edit

Samsung Omnia for Verizon, a touchscreen Windows Mobile 6.1 phone that's been slicked up with Samsung's TouchWiz UI and a five-megapixel camera, plus it's that rare Verizon beast that also packs Wi-Fi.

LetsGoDigital‘s review Edit

The Samsung Omnia smartphone was originally sold as a special Millionaire Pack. The Samsung Millionaire Pack adds just that little extra to the Omnia i900. The black matte package carrying the text: Omnia Millionaire Pack and an image of the mobile phone is tied together with a strap containing pictures that appeal to the millionaire feeling of the purchaser.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

The Samsung Omnia, now available from Verizon Wireless for $199, is a handsome smart phone filled with all the latest amenties—EV-DO, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, an HTML browser, push e-mail, an excellent multimedia player, mobile Microsoft Office, and 8GB of built-in memory, all operated via a bright and sensitive 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen. However, despite the best efforts of Samsung’s clever TouchWiz interface, this next-generation combination of attributes are nearly ruined by the inclusion of Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Translated from Latin, the name of Samsung’s new model means 'everything' and its main purpose is to fully satisfy the needs of the modern cell phone user. This is a phone with a unique combination of characteristics such as 5-megapixel camera, large touch display and GPS, taking advantage of the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform. In addition, this is the first device with a built-in support of not only DivX, but XviD video. The logical question 'Can it cook?' comes to mind …
