Motorola Moto E4 Plus Pro Reviews

SlashGear‘s review Edit

The Moto E4 Plus Review we’ve got on deck today rolls through the basics of its hardware and software and offers judgement on its overall value. While the hardware is decent – especially for this price – it’s within the long-lasting battery that this device truly shines. Can a device whose display, camera, and processor would be home in the mid-range two years ago survive as a low-end smartphone here in 2017? How about if it has a 5000mAh battery, 2.5x the size of the battery of the latest iPhone?

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Motorola's E4 Plus is the latest phone from the company, packing a huge battery and trying to up the spec despite a low-end price. Battery life is a big concern of almost everyone who wants to buy a new phone, so Motorola has packed this phone with a massive cell that should be able to last at least two days.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

If you hate it when your phone runs out of battery, we have an inexpensive option for you. The unlocked Motorola Moto E4 Plus ($179.99 as tested) has a massive 5,000mAh battery that will carry you through two days of moderate use, or up to a week of standby. It's also nicely built, runs the latest version of Android, and works on every carrier in the US. It isn't the fastest phone out there, and the Moto E4 remains our Editors' Choice for being a slightly better value, but if you need a phone with the longest battery life possible, go for the Plus.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

It's a tough job to criticize a $180 handset. The Moto E4 Plus' display is certainly not perfect, its camera leaves a lot to be desired, its performance is only good for basic smartphone tasks. But one can justifiably argue that for this price, the Moto E4 does a good job as a basic smartphone. We'd like to endearingly call the Moto E4 Plus a great low-cost “dadphone”. It's not about running all of those fancy-schmancy apps. It's about being cheap and easy to replace, it's about lasting an eternity on a single charge, and it's about getting your emails and chats on time. And this is where the crux of our criticism lies — unlike us, Motorola does not want the Moto E4 Plus to be perceived as a “dadphone”. On the contrary, with all that colorful marketing, LED flash for the selfie camera, and promises of crisp photos even in low light conditions (while they are fuzzy even in well-lit ones!), the company wants to appeal to youngsters on a tight budget.
