Epson WorkForce Pro WF-6590 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

If you’re looking for a superfast, cost-efficient, high-volume MFP, this one seems hard to beat. However, we should also point out that Epson makes one model up from the WF-6590 (aside from a couple EcoTank models): the $1,499.99-list WorkForce Pro WF-8590 Network Multifunction Color Printer. Why does it cost so much more? Well, the WF-8590 is a wide-format machine capable of printing at sizes up to supertabloid (13x19 inches) and scanning and copying source material up to tabloid-size (11x17 inches). Even so, that seems expensive. Aside from the ability to print on oversize stock (and, of course, the high price), the WF-8590’s specs are nearly identical to those of our WF-6590 review unit, right down to its 24ppm rated print speed and 75,000-page maximum monthly duty cycle. It even uses the same ink cartridges. Due to the wide-format pages, the main paper cassette holds only 250 sheets of plain paper; however, you can buy up to three additional 500-sheet drawers, for a total of 1,830 pages from five sources. Now there’s some volume and versatility. If you can justify spending that kind of money on an inkjet MFP and need absolutely titanic capacity, this senior-statesman model could be worth a look.

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-6590's speed, full feature set, and low running costs make it a standout choice as a small-office color inkjet MFP.
