HTC One A9 Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

To compare this too much to an iPhone would be unfair to the genuinely impressive power under the hood - but it's curious that HTC has decided on this design path.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The HTC One A9 ($499; 32GB) is among the few new Android phones that are small enough for single-handed use, but don't fall into the budget category. It's a 5-inch handset in a market that's racing toward hand-straining 6-plus-inch phablets.

PC World‘s review Edit

One A9 is proof that HTC can make a solid mid-range device, but don't consider bringing one home unless it drastically drops in price.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

HTC apparently views a flagship device very differently from the competition. Normally, these so-called flagships would be showcase devices rich in new technology, offer exceptional performance everywhere, and just premium built. With the HTC One A9, however, it redefines the term for the company.

Gizmodo‘s review Edit

Do you need a new phone so badly that you can snatch up the A9 at the $400 launch price and do you desperately want an iPhone form factor with the versatility of an Android phone? Then you should buy it, but that’s a lot of ifs for one particular niche individual. For most people, springing for iOS or even the equally luxe Nexus 6P will be the better option.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

Get in before HTC increases the price in the US and the value argument offsets all that. A sleek, metal-bodied phone for under $400 is undoubtedly compelling. Beyond that tiny window, though, you'd have to really, really dislike bigger displays - or really, really want an iPhone running Android - to pick the One A9 over Google's Nexus 6P.
