Lenovo ThinkPad X250 Pro Reviews

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Lenovo has successfully shrunk its standard business notebook down to what was once known as the sub-notebook category, and is now a more commonplace size as laptops benefit from the push toward miniaturisation. Its Broadwell-generation Core i5 processor maintains performance for office duties and helps preserve usable runtime of almost 7 hours from its minimal 24Wh battery. Ergonomics are good thanks to the familiar dished-key keyboard and an option for IPS display. It may fall short of competitors like the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display in terms of screen quality, price, longevity and sheer performance, but for business users that demand a trackpoint interface, smart card slot or TPM module, the ThinkPad X250 has all the right business credentials.

As is appropriate for a business-class laptop, Lenovo has kept preloaded software to a minimum. The X250 comes with a selection of Lenovo utilities to handle various hardware and security settings, as well as McAfee Central and Microsoft Office trials. You do get Nitro Pro 9, a full PDF creation and editing package. Lenovo backs the notebook with a standard one-year parts and labor warranty. The ThinkPad X250 hits the bullseye on the elements most important to business ultraportable buyers: battery life, portability, security, and durability. Its standout creature comforts—killer keyboard, available HD screen, unique conferencing features—sweeten the pot even more. It's not cheap, but it's a five-star Editors' Choice pick.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

The Lenovo ThinkPad X250 is very similar to the previous X240 model, but it has its improvements and that's a good thing. You'll find that the battery life -- which was already ample with the X240 -- has gotten even better with the X250, and that the performance possibilities have climbed as well. The same rugged elements are all included in the latest model, as well as the relatively portable and svelte design. If you enjoyed the X240 and like having the newest thing, updating to the X250 is worth the jump. If you're new to this line up of laptops entirely, however, and you're looking for something with power and long battery life, prepare to be amazed.
