Acer Aspire E5-771G-51T2 Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Acer Aspire E (E5-771G-51T2) is a very good choice if you're willing to pay a little more for a very large laptop with a 1080p HD screen.

All in all, the Acer Aspire E5-771G-51T2 is something of a mixed bag. It has a decent, large screen that supports full HD video resolution, but its price point precludes Blu-ray support. It has acceptable performance, but struggles with more processor-intensive tasks such as Photoshop and video editing that might benefit from the screen resolution. The discrete GeForce 840M graphics give it a bit more visual muscle, but not enough to make it a gaming machine. If you're looking for a big-screen notebook that doesn't weigh or cost a ton, and plan to use it for general productivity rather than digital content crunching, the E5-771G-51T2 tops 17-inch laptops with lower-resolution screens and smaller hard drives. But it feels like a compromise between a large, powerful laptop and a budget one that doesn't really capture the best of both worlds.
