AMD Sempron 3100+ Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

Socket A Sempron performance is predictably good; we've become accustomed to it over the past couple of years. The Socket 754 Sempron 3100+, however, is a substantially better processor, both architecturally and performance-wise. If your budget is set a little higher, AMD's K8-class Sempron 3100+ is comfortably the best choice. It's just a shame that it's been stripped of 64-bit goodness, though.

So, the relatively inexpensive Sempron processors on the new E core revision of Palermo will become even more desired by the economical overclockers. Processors like that are excellent basis for a high-performance system at a minimum cost.

The Sempron 3100+ is a good alternative for anyone looking for an affordable PC. It may lack some of the Athlon 64’s high-end features, but for a basic PC, the Sempron 3100+ fits the bill perfectly.
