Acer Aspire E1-510P-2671 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

It's hard to beat the Aspire E1-510P-2671 for low price (though you can come close; the Dell site offers an Inspiron 15 with touch and Core i3 power for $1 more, or $449). Is it the big touch-screen laptop for you? Maybe. Our most serious complaint, the poltergeist pressing the Insert key, we're prepared to call a glitch restricted to our test unit. That leaves us with gripes about the touch pad and pale, low-res screen, but those may not be deal-breakers.Most important, we think, it depends on reining in your expectations. No portable in this price range will do a crackerjack job of video or image editing, or play games beyond simple titles like Tetris. But this Aspire will be just the ticket for certain shoppers who don't plan to go beyond the basics like e-mail, Web browsing, and DVD viewing. For others, this laptop's low price may not be so tempting after all.
