Musical delivery is, on the whole, excellent, with the RS 160s delivering bags of attack in their rendition of Broken Bells’ The High Road. The presentation is extremely crisp and clean all round, but there’s also lots of taut, deep bass. Unfortunately, there’s also a little too much hardness and aggression to the top end, which becomes fatiguing over long listens. Still, these Sennheisers prove a cheaper, more exciting alternative to the Beyerdynamic RSX700s, even if you’re just using them indoors.

The RS 160 headphones were a delight to use. They’re not exactly cheap, but the audio quality was the best we’ve heard from any wireless headphones. Bluetooth headphones might be cheaper – and, of course, you can make mobile phone calls with them too – but the Kleer technology used here is definitely superior, and makes the RS 160 the first set of wireless headphones that we would happily use to replace a conventional set of wired headphones when listening to music at home.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The headphones are superbly comfortable even during long listening sessions, but we're not fans of the integrated volume controls: they're a little bit fiddly, even if you're not that fat-fingered. The RS 160s are very good, but if you're already looking for premium headphones, we'd recommend tracking down the 160s' big brother, the RS 170s.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The RS 160 deliver with solid design and construction, great sounding audio and are comfortable for long periods. The portable aspect seems more appropriate to the home than walking the streets, but with the transmitter accepting either batteries or mains power, you can easily switch around as you wish.
