AMD Athlon 3200+ Pro Reviews

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

The Athlon 64 3200+ processor will surely get a lot of attention from enthusiasts interested in the AMD64 technology, but not in the high prices associated with the Athlon 64 FX line of processors. In our tests, the Athlon 64 3200+ processor showed to be a formidable processor, though it wasn’t the knock out blow that many of you were hoping and expecting. In the meantime, I think most of you will be satisfied with an Athlon 64 3200+ processor. If it has been a while since you have updated that gaming system of yours, then perhaps you should take a long hard look at the Athlon 64 3200+.

At stock frequencies and voltages, the new Venice core doesn't offer any performance advantages, even with the inclusion of SSE3 instructions. Speaking of overclocking, I can't help but be incredibly impressed by the results we saw here.

All in all, Athlon 64 3200+ can be considered a good choice for those users who prefer AMD products. The only thing I have to mention though in conclusion is a questionable situation with the Socket754 platforms.
