Toshiba Portege Z30-A1301 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

We always find it disappointing when we come across a fine business laptop with a lackluster screen. Many professionals require quality video and graphics display in the everyday course of doing business, and a 1,366x768 non-IPS display is pretty much the lowest common denominator these days. Aside from the low-resolution screen, though, we found little else to complain about. The Portege Z30 is thin, light, comfortable to use, and extremely well-built and durable, not to mention its wide range of business features and utilities. Then too, there's the 10-hour battery life, a three-year limited warranty, excellent keyboard and pointing stick, and strong performance that place this Portege in direct competition with Lenovo's ThinkPad line, including our Editors' Choice of a few months ago, the ThinkPad Edge E431$703.12 at Lenovo. The Portege Z30 is thinner, lighter, performs better, and has a much longer battery life, making it our new favorite business-oriented ultrabook.
