You can evaluate the HP Officejet 4630 from two points of view. If you don’t plan to use the Instant Ink program, the replacement inks are pricey compared with other AIO inkjets, exacerbated by the two-tank design. This printer still might be worth considering due to its better-than-average print quality and built-in ADF, but you'll want to do the math. On the downside, it’s unusually slow, and you’ll want to keep away from the standard-capacity cartridges. In addition to these tanks being expensive, you’ll be swapping them out way too often, because they don't hold much ink. As an Instant Ink printer, the Officejet Pro 4630 begins to look very attractive if you print mostly graphics-based pages, and you don’t mind being tied to a subscription plan. There’s also a convenience factor. With the Instant Ink program, HP mails you replacement ink cartridges automatically as the installed cartridges run low on ink. That could be a big plus in situations where you want to provide a printer for someone else without burdening that person with having to reorder or pay for the consumables.

The HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer combines a solid set of home-office MFP features and good output quality at a modest price, though it tends to run through color ink quickly.
