AMD Athlon X2 BE-2350 Pro Reviews

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

I really want to reiterate that even though the benchmarks we showed you made this new AMD Athlon X2 BE-2350 processor look like a poor performer, that really isn’t the case. The problem was finding a "good" comparison in terms of pricing. The new AMD Athlon X2 BE-2350 processor brings a new, lower price point to the modern AMD dual-core processor. Intel currently has no direct answer to this kind of performance at these power levels giving AMD a chance to fall into some unique system designs like home theater PCs and even some small form-factor boxes. Customers can once again rejoice in the fruits of competition.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

In the case of the Athlon X2 BE-2350, its 45W TDP is 20W lower than the nearest competition, but the actual savings over time for the whole platform is not as impressive. Fully idle, the Athlon X2 BE-2350 could achieve up to 10W power saving over the Pentium Dual Core E2160 or Core 2 Duo E4300. However, once the processors are loaded, this advantage was reduced to a slim 2 - 5W difference.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

The AMD Athlon X2 BE-2350 2.1 GHz could be overclocked by 19% to 2.5 GHz, while Intel's Pentium Dual Core still was reliable at a core clock speed of 2.88 GHz, 55% over the 1.8 GHz default speed. Users looking for a $100 CPU to build a cheap overclocking solution must go for the Intel product; those who care for efficiency will prefer the AMD Athlon X2 BE-2350.
