LG Optimus F6 Pro Reviews

The LG Optimus F6 is a well-connected Android smartphone with LTE, NFC, and a decent display. But its limited internal storage, older OS, and poor camera make it less appealing than it looks.

The LG Optimus F6 is a value-priced Android smartphone that cuts corners on storage and camera capabilities to hit its price mark. Better T-Mobile values can be found.

With its $289.99 full retail price, it's hard to beat the LG Optimus F6 in terms of value. True, the carrier does have better phones (like the $336 Galaxy S II, Samsung's flagship handset from two years ago), but you have to be willing to give up more dough. And while the F6 doesn't run the most recent OS on the Android market, it's a reliable candidate to consider for phones under $300. The T-Mobile myTouch Q, for example, is $50 cheaper, but it lacks LTE, has a laggy processor, and a poor camera. Likewise, though the Nokia Lumia 521 is a fantastic $144 value, you do "get what you pay for" in terms of its low-resolution screen and lack of a camera flash. Indeed, when it comes to the F6, users can get themselves a great Android smartphone without breaking the bank.

As you would expect LG has made some compromises to keep the Optimus F6 affordable, but for a mid-range device they have put together an overall nice package. The device is well-built, has a good display for its class and incorporates many of the software features from LG’s higher end devices. While the camera performance wasn’t great, it was acceptable for Instagram and Facebook shots, and the call quality was outstanding. It was rightly overshadowed during the G2 announcement, but if you’re in the market for an affordable, mid-range device the Optimus F6 is worth a look.
