Acer Aspire V3-772G-9402 Pro Reviews

PC World‘s review Edit

It's not the fastest desktop replacement we've seen, but the Aspire V3 is a very good mobile-entertainment value.

The Acer couldn't catch the Alienware in any of our gaming benchmarks, but it leaves that system far behind when it comes to battery life. In our video playback test, the V3-772G-9402 lasted about an hour longer than the MSI and Alienware systems. Both the Asus and Gigabyte laptops managed to hang on a bit longer in our test. But really, anything close to four hours of longevity in a serious gaming laptop is fairly impressive. You'll still want to keep the power pack close by, but at least you should be able to watch a movie or two while away from the wall socket. Overall, the Acer Aspire V3-772G-9402 has the potential to be a really impressive machine for gamers on a budget. Its overall performance is pretty good. And when it comes to raw frame rates, it does about as well as systems that cost a bit more. It also has an attractive screen and a keyboard that, while lacking backlighting, is comfortable to type on.
