Logitech Harmony 1100 Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

There's no doubt the 1100 does what it promises to do and does it well - especially the ease with which it can be set up. Logitech's control code database is commendably comprehensive. But that's true of the company's other universal remotes, such as the 525, which will only set you back £50. The difference is down to the big touchscreen, which, while nice to use, doesn't really add a great deal to the user experience.

Engadget‘s review Edit

The 1100 definitely has the look and feel of a solid piece of kit; one of those devices you want to pick up and turn over in your hand just for the sake of feeling it - as it should for about $500. But, when it comes to the actual business of controlling your devices, it's no better than the far flimsier feeling and far cheaper 500-series remotes, and many would find its screen-focused design even worse.

CrunchGear‘s review Edit

The remote is solid, works well, and will impress the hell out of your house guests. I wish Logitech would have bundled the RF module with the remote to fully take advantage of the remote’s operation, but instead they charge $100 more. I still can’t decide if I dig the remote vs the Harmony One or my old Monster Control 300, but it’s growing on me.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

As universal remotes go, the Harmony 1100 has a definite air of luxury. Its excellent build quality, colour touchscreen and simple, computer-controlled setup procedure just about make it worth that hefty price tag, and from our experience it works flawlessly with a range of home cinema devices. Our only complaint is the muddled layout of some of the button menus, which makes the process of controlling certain devices more long-winded than we're used to, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker.

Logitech's team has come up with one of the easiest methods of programming a remote control that we've ever encountered.
