We have a lot of the same things to say about the Officejet Pro 276dw that we did about last year’s Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. The Officejet Pro 276dw MFP is fast; it prints and reproduces good-looking documents; and it provides a wealth of convenience and productivity features for the price. Even the onboard processor displays file lists and large images faster than most competing machines can. Granted, Epson’s highly comparable WorkForce Pro WP-4590 comes with an override tray for more flexible paper handling, and slightly lower CPPs, but then, the Officejet Pro 276dw comes with a few features that will make it a better choice for some users. For instance, it has a larger-capacity ADF (50 pages versus 30); it supports SD memory cards; and it can leverage HP's huge stable of printer apps, which we’re sure some users will find useful. As we said earlier, because these two high-volume models are so close in performance and print quality, choosing between them really is a matter of cross-checking their feature lists to determine which details better suit your needs.

The 276dw's management features, smooth setup and operation, low ink costs, and quality output make it one of the nicest experiences we've had with a printer. Overall it's a temptingly nice alternative to a laser printer for a small office or workgroup.
