LG Lucid 2 Pro Reviews

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

The LG Lucid 2 does pretty much everything well. The worst thing I can say about the Lucid 2 is that the materials don't feel as good as the iPhone 5 or HTC One's. That's hardly a death-knell, especially for a device that’s free on contract. The Android user interface is quick and customizable, the network and calling performance are above average, the camera and video camera deliver above-their-grade results, and screen is a joy. The only other detractor might be battery life, but even then it still offers a day of power. The LG Lucid 2 is, without doubt, the best value currently available from Verizon Wireless.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

Sequels are rarely better than the original when it comes to entertainment, but they are always better in technology. The nature of advancement and upgrades dictates that improvement is a given, so no one should be surprised that the LG Lucid 2 is a noticeable step up from its predecessor. What might catch some people off guard is that this is a step up from many midrange devices currently on the market. The Lucid 2 doesn't wow in many areas, but it does excel at battery life, call quality, and data strength. Its screen is better than most devices in its class, and that makes the phone good in the areas that matter most. Hiccups in navigational performance are a drag in the overall experience of the Lucid 2, but they don't overshadow an otherwise strong midrange option. Someone who plans to take a great deal of photos or do heavy lifting might want to pay for a more powerful phone, but the Lucid 2 can hold its own under the weight of normal activities. Considering that it's free when signing a two-year agreement, the LG Lucid 2 offers one of the best values available on Verizon Wireless.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Since the LG Lucid 2 is currently available for free with a 2-year Verizon contract, there is a lot to like about the device. It is small and lightweight, making it easy to carry around, the 4.3” qHD display is a nice size with clear text and images, the user interface is well laid-out and easy to use, not to mention the device has good call quality and a larger capacity battery. We do wish that the camera/video recording was a bit better, as well as the music player, but for this price, it’s hard to complain.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The LG Lucid 2 is a solid option for Verizon buyers on a budget, but it isn't quite as sweet a deal as the first time around.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Of Verizon's free handsets, the LG Lucid 2 is the best choice. With Android Jelly Bean under its belt, it is more up-to-date than the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II and the Pantech Marauder, both of which run Android Ice Cream Sandwich. I'd only suggest the Stratosphere II if you prefer a smartphone with a physical keyboard. Other than that, however, the Lucid 2 pulls ahead of the pack with its many good features and quality performance.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

LG has done a rather fine job here in terms of what you get with the Lucid 2 for the price. The fact that they are offering a fairly decent mid-range phone (screen aside) completely free with a new 2-year contract is the selling point here. You get a powerful, capable, and up to date Android Jelly Bean smartphone all absolutely free. Then from there you can enjoy some wireless charging and spend that money on apps from the Play Store instead. So in closing is the Lucid a device we’d recommend to someone who is considering the iPhone 5, Galaxy S III (or S4) or any other high end device? Nope! Nor does the device deserve any such sort of recommendation. What we will say is for a teenager or a first time smartphone buyer the Lucid 2 for free is a pretty good option, and something worth taking a look at in a store near you. Enjoy the rest of the photos below.

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

If you have eyes, it is obvious that the LG Lucid 2 is not the most glamorous phone available on Verizon. But with a price of free ($200 cheaper than many competitors), it’s not a bad choice for those on a budget. If you can spend an extra $50, we do like the Motorola Droid Razr M a lot, and it is similarly sized, but there isn’t much to dislike about the Lucid 2. She could use a prettier chassis, a little more memory, and a higher resolution screen, but all-in-all, we like what we see. The LG Lucid 2 is our favorite free phone on Verizon.
