HP ENVY Phoenix h9-1420t Pro Reviews

PC World‘s review Edit

If you're not dead set on your gaming PC looking as if it had just escaped from a sci-fi movie, and if you’re sure you’ll never want to upgrade to a dual-video-card setup, the HP Envy Phoenix h9-1420T will give you excellent overall performance and darn good gameplay. The warranty is comforting as well, but we're still wondering why the hardware options stop just shy of state-of-the-art.

computershopper‘s review Edit

The HP Envy Phoenix h9-1420t is a good fit for a particular kind of PC gamer—someone who cares more about uncompromising framerates at an approachable price than about factory-overclocked components inside a case that boasts exotic styling and lighting and an exotic boutique name. If this describes you, you'll find a lot to like about the HP. The CPU can be overclocked easily via the BIOS, while the GeForce graphics will plow through games at their highest settings. The case may not turn heads and lacks the precision origami cabling you can get from a boutique, but it allows for some easy expansion options. And when you consider the presence of a Blu-ray player, Beats Audio, and a 2TB hard drive, the Envy Phoenix has the makings of a do-it-all PC, though the constant whir of the cooling fan may begin to grate on you unless there's some ambient noise in your office.
