Digital Trends‘s review Edit

The X576dw is considerably more expensive than HP’s other Officejet MFPs, and it’s also more expensive than some of HP’s Laserjet laser printers. But HP is justified in its claims that the X576dw is the fastest desktop printer in the industry. The MFP did not provide photographic quality output in our tests, but then again it is not promoted as a photo printer. But if the need for photo printing arises, you can get acceptable results on photo paper. For an MFP that can print and copy as fast-as-hell, and also scan and fax, the X576dw will do the job.

It’s expensive, but this inkjet MFP for workgroups knocks the stuffing out of a comparable laser

The HP Officejet Pro X576dw is an impressive device. I mean what else can you say when the printer you're reviewing has been certified by Guinness World Records as the world's fastest desktop printer? But beyond the flashy stats, you'll also find plenty of substance: great print quality in text documents, color prints and even photo prints as well as reliable business-class scan, copy and fax features. And what's more exciting is that businesses can truly see cost savings by switching to an inkjet and not lose any sleep over performance. Energy and consumable cost savings alone might pay for the Officejet Pro X576dw (which is on the high end at $799) and thanks to high capacity ink cartridges and an optional second 500-sheet drawer, businesses can run just as efficiently. Geared towards small and medium sized businesses, the Officejet Pro X576dw is a true laser class replacement thanks to incredibly fast print speeds, excellent print quality, a range of business features and impressive cost saving over a laser class counterpart.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

HP changed the face of printing when it introduced Cloud printing and the ePrintCenter back in 2010, and the company once again demonstrates its commitment to innovation with its first page-wide array product. With zippy new print mechanics, a streamlined design, and the added bonus of mobile printing through onboard apps and mobile features, the X576dw is an ideal companion for small workgroups and businesses that want a taste of the future of printing.

Usually, when we put a first-generation technology through its paces, we expect at least a few glitches and performance issues. We can report, though, after some rather protracted testing on our part of this printer, that HP clearly worked long and hard at perfecting PageWide before offering it as a viable alternative to color laser MFPs. Aside from its lack of support for memory cards, as well as its inability to print borderless pages, the Officejet Pro X576dw impressed us mightily. We don’t have any substantial complaints about this MFP. It’s an all-around great office machine for those who need its volume and efficiencies of output. Compared to color laser printers, you get the same fast print speeds (which are, in some cases, even faster), excellent ease of use and installation, and—highly important, from our point of view—some of the lowest CPPs available for a machine in this price range. It doesn’t get much better than this.
