Intel Pentium E2140 Pro Reviews

TechSpot‘s review Edit

After spending two weeks testing the E2140 and E2160 processors I have come to a few conclusions. First of all, gamers will want an Intel dual-core processor with as much L2 cache as possible. Now, obviously if you were to purchase an E2140 or E2160 processor it would be best to pair it with an ultra-cheap motherboard that supports it.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

All in all Pentium E2160 and E2140 processors made a great entrance. They have pushed the performance of budget solutions to a totally new level. With the price of less than $90 and promising Core micro-architecture these processors can become a great basis for contemporary low-cost systems.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

In terms of raw performance, the Pentium E2140 only runs about 10% slower in most cases than Intel’s cheapest Core 2 Duo processor, the E6300, which is impressive considering it has a lower clock speed and half the cache. However, the Pentium E2140 ($95) is currently 42% cheaper than the Core 2 Duo E6300 ($165), making it a better value compared to low-end Core 2 Duo processors.
