Intel Pentium 4 570J Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

The 570J does well just where you would expect, that is, in media encoding and applications that have been optimised for its SSE3 architecture. In summary, it's very hard to recommend the Pentium 4 570J when the competition, AMD, is currently doing so well.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

As for the performance proper, the growth of the clock rate of the Pentium 4 570J processor to 3.8GHz certainly added more competitiveness to it. As we see, the Pentium 4 570J can be viewed as a worthy competitor to the Athlon 64 CPUs. Meanwhile, since the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.46GHz looks bad against the newcomer, we consider the Athlon 64 FX-55 as the fastest processor today.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

However, the Pentium 4 570 test sample was actually the first Prescott processor that managed to please people that had access to our test results. While an efficient CPU cooler plus chassis ventilation are still essential, the Pentium 4 E0 stepping proved to be a gentle companion for office and multimedia applications, while extending its performance by a small amount. Finally, the Pentium 4 processor and the 900 series chipset seem to make a great team.
