Intel Pentium 4 670 Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

Performance-wise, Pentium 4 670 is around 5% faster than the incumbent '660, and is either generally slower than AMD's Athlon 64 4000+ and FX-55 CPUs in applications that don't take full advantage of Intel's Hyper-Threading technology. The likes of Dell will dress it up to be the must-have CPU for an ultra-powerful machine, but unless professional applications and video editing is where you spend most of your time, it would be prudent to look towards AMD's top-end S939 CPUs.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

Although the new Pentium 4 670 processors work at higher 3.8GHz core frequency, which is higher than the working frequency of the top Pentium 4 Extreme Edition CPU, we still cannot state that the newcomer appeared faster than the CPU for wealthy hardware enthusiasts. Pentium 4 Extreme Edition still wins this race due to faster bus in most applications. But at the same time, the difference between the Pentium 4 and Pentium 4 Extreme Edition processors got unacceptably small.
