Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 Pro Reviews

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

At $700-$900, the Satellite P845T-S4310 is within the price range of a full-fledged Ultrabook that can offer similar CPU and GPU performance with even faster system performance. It’s true that the user will likely be giving up touchscreen capabilities, but such a feature simply feels like a tacked-on novelty for an otherwise very standard notebook. The aluminum body does look and feel more expensive than what it is selling for, but it is also unfortunately average in its assembly and very weak on the outer lid. The extremely slow system performance and mushy keyboard are enough for us recommend even budget or last generation Ultrabooks with dedicated SSDs like the Asus Zenbook UX31E or Samsung Series 9 900X3B over the inferior P845T series, especially for the given price range.

computershopper‘s review Edit

Overall, other than its weight and perhaps the touchy touch pad, there are no deal-breakers with the Satellite P845T-S4310. On the flip side, apart from its excellent audio and respectable battery life, there are no must-haves here, either. Call the S4310 what it is: an affordable mainstream laptop for users who want both a touch screen for Windows 8 and an optical drive for CD and DVD enjoyment. We believe they're outnumbered by users who'd rather forfeit the optical drive and save a pound, but they'll come to appreciate the Harmon Kardon speakers in short order.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

With its decent performance and admirable feature set, the Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 is a good option for anyone on the market for a touch-enabled Windows 8 laptop, but it's not the best value currently on the market.

PC World‘s review Edit

The Toshiba Satellite P845t-S4310 is a pretty nice computer, with nice speakers, a useable touchscreen, and some expensive-looking design elements. But I can’t help but think that a computer this bulky and under-performing needs a lower price-point. For just a couple hundred more you can pick up an Ultrabook that probably performs better, has the same processor, and weighs less. So unless you’re really on a tight budget, I’d look for something a bit sleeker.
