Cooler Master QuickFire TK Pro Reviews

hardwarebbq‘s review Edit

The keyboard is great, hands down. The built quality is stellar! Wise of CM to use plastic balancers in place of metal for certain keys. But swapping between certain keys with numpad will be annoying for a lot of people which would make them prefer CM Quickfire Rapid variant or the Pro (or maybe the XT)

As long as enthusiasts understand the unique challenges presented by the combined ten key and command cluster, then the CM Storm Quickfire TK provides a great value as a smaller mechanical keyboard. As such, the Quickfire TK with Cherry MX Red switches earns the coveted Benchmark Reviews Golden Tachometer Award.

The Quick Fire TK is one of the best gaming-grade keyboards we’ve tested for FPS gamers (which is, coincidentally, our game genre of choice). Robust, compact, elegant and stable on the table, it has controllable illumination and an ingenious system to shrink its size without losing keys. If the user doesn’t have a big hand, he or she should get a wrist rest. We didn’t miss the macro recording because it’s not that important on an FPS game. In addition, its absence can be compensated for with a good programmable mouse, which all gamers worth their reputations should have. Still, this might be an issue for those interested in more customization.

overclockersclub‘s review Edit

In the end, I honestly tried to love this keyboard. It's mechanical, it has blue lighting, a blue steelplate and it's of the usual CM Storm durability. It is everything most of you can agree make up a great keyboard. That and my Razer Lycosa is losing keys – so it's about time I actually switch into something else. Unfortunately that love couldn't quite be forced. The toggle option to switch between the number pad and what are quite essential keys was frustrating. I guess it's one of those things you don't realize you use/enjoy until someone takes them away from you. At first I said, "BAH, I don't even use arrow keys, and my laptop doesn't have a number pad – it can't be bad." I was quite wrong about that.
