The HP Pavilion scores points in many areas, but it has a few weaknesses, which the buyer should know about before making the purchase. The list of pros includes a case made of aluminium with good workmanship. Although it can not compete with the workmanship of top models, for the price, the HP Pavilion dv7 offers very good workmanship. The keyboard and touchpad are comfortable to use, but even here HP has room for improvement. However, for a multimedia notebook, this combination of keyboard and touchpad is more than sufficient. The display makes matters slightly worse. The brightness is fine and the distribution is great, but the poor contrast and reflective surface are very big weaknesses.
