Toshiba Qosmio X870-119 Pro Reviews

AVForums‘s review Edit

As with the previous Toshiba X770 gaming laptop we reviewed, this higher specification X870-119 doesn't do anything to banish the elephant from the room. Quite simply, it's retail price of £1699.99 makes it a very expensive proposition. Whilst it does not immediately suffer the price imbalance that plagued the previous X770, with similar specified machines from Alienware, MSI and Acer costing around the same money, you get the impression that Toshiba are trying to create a machine that appears to cover all the bases. It makes a good attempt, but ultimately falls short several fronts.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

Toshiba offers the customer with the Qosmio X870-119 a potent gaming and multimedia notebook. The built-in hardware provides sufficient performance to play also the latest games in high details and resolution. The package has ,however, its price. First, you have the selling price of the notebook: Toshiba wants for the gaming machine over 2.000 Euro which is not little money. In addition, Qosmio X870 feels itself only comfortable next to a power outlet. Without external power supply, the notebook lights won't stay on too long. Interesting features are, of course, the 3D glasses from Nvidia and the possibility to play games in 3D. Despite that many games don't exploit the 3D potential sufficiently, some gain gain a lot on added value with the effect. Furthermore, appropriate movies can be also seen in 3D. For the 3D effect, you require expensive displays and you can notice that Toshiba has made effort to offer a good display. The built-in panel could impress.
