Canon PIXMA MG3220 Pro Reviews

printercomparison‘s review Edit

For about $80, the Canon Pixma MG3220 inkjet offers three energy efficient devices in one: a printer, scanner and copier. The highlight of this review was the ability for Canon to make it easy for people to print high quality photos for a fraction of the cost. The color and black and white photo printing quality is well above average quality for its class, and the default black text printing is crisp and very easy on the eyes. Another great thing about this entry-level AIO is its photo printing software. Canon makes it simple for users to create their own collages, cards, calendars, photo prints from video, and more. Doing any of that without this software would be very difficult. The inks also proved to be a plus: they lasted through 262 pages before running dry. Things to keep in mind would be the slower color print speeds and the fact that the printer did jam once during our ink exhaustion test. There also seems to be a learning curve as far as the scanning goes, especially with some of the scans appearing grainy and overproduced. But given the lower price tag, we believe the Canon PIXMA MG3220 could be a good product to use. Remember to check out our gallery of photos for scans, screenshots, product photos and more.

computershopper‘s review Edit

Canon has gotten a lot of mileage out of the print engine in the MG3220. In our opinion, though, unless the company can find a way to make it faster and more economical to use, it's time to update it. In terms of print speeds and cost per page, too many competing models can outdo this Pixma. Print quality, ease of use, and reliability can carry an AIO only so far—especially considering that these are not attributes exclusive to Pixmas. Several companies make good-quality, entry-level inkjet AIOs. As we said about the Pixma MG4220 recently, we'd feel much better about recommending this Pixma if it just didn't cost so much to use. In addition, if keeper photographs are your primary motivation for buying a new printer, the slightly higher-priced Pixmas would serve you better.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Pixma MG3220 gets in under the $100 price point with an impressive list of features that includes Apple AirPrint compatibility, auto-duplexing, and Canon's new Fast Front ink loader that takes the headaches out of cartridge installation. If you're restricted to an $80 budget but don't want to sacrifice performance to save cash, the Canon Pixma MG3220 is a worthwhile investment.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Canon Pixma MG3220 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-in-One offers WiFi connectivity and an auto-duplexer, but is otherwise what you might expect from a bargain-priced MFP.
