A big component of any business system is its support plan, and Dell's Vostro support fits the bill, once you get past the fact that the standard warranty lasts only one year. (Some business systems come with three years standard.) As we noted earlier, during the warranty period, you get access to remote diagnostics and next-business-day onsite service, which is significantly more convenient than than the ship-it-back-for-fixes plan on many consumer models. Note that the phone support is available only during local business hours, however, meaning you're out of luck if you encounter a problem late in the evening or over the weekend. You can upgrade to three years of this basic coverage for a reasonable $88 surcharge.
