VIZIO CA27-A1 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

As it is, at a little over $1,100 in our test configuration when we wrote this, the CA27-A1 delivers decent value, and you can rectify its other major shortcoming—the ho-hum input devices—with a $50 wireless set of your choice. And unlike many other AIOs, this one promises to have a life beyond its PC duties, thanks to its display-first design and dual HDMI inputs. You can relegate it to the kids’ room as a game-console display or to your desk, alongside a PC tower, when the internal components get too long in the tooth. Considering that stand-alone 27-inch 1080p screens these days start at just under $300, that’s reasonably forward-looking in its own right.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Vizio 27-inch All-in-One PC (CA27-A1) is a good first effort from the company that made its name by selling HDTVs to the masses. The CA27-A1 succeeds as an entertainment PC, but its packed-in peripherals keep it from being a workhorse system.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Vizio's PC-making efforts thus far seem to mirror those of its TV business: offer compelling-enough core features and aggressive pricing, and customers will likely forgive some sacrifices along the way. Not everyone will be so willing, and by leaving off a traditional mouse and an optical drive, Vizio has also taken some bold chances. But as long as you're aware of what you're missing, the CA27-A1 will satisfy those in the market for a large-screen, affordable all-in-one desktop.
