Samsung NP900X3B-A01UK Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

Samsung's Series 9 continues to serve as an indication of what tomorrow's computers will offer; strong performance, ultra-fast responsiveness and lush visuals in an exquisitely-thin and luxuriously-crafted form factor. This is, quite simply, the most beautiful laptop we've experienced and only in person will you get a true feel for how impossibly thin and light it really is. But get past the beauty of it all - a task easier said than done - and the Series 9 does show signs of compromise. Despite the £1,200 price tag, the laptop offers a mid-range Core i5 processor, modest Intel graphics, a shallow keyboard that never feels entirely right and a sound system that's entirely unimpressive. There are niggles, but when the Series 9 is good, it's very good. The 13.3in matte display is a real treat, the quick 128GB solid-state drive allays any performance concerns, battery life is good, and the unibody shell will always turn heads. If you must have a ludicrously-thin laptop with a high-res display and you've got the cash, Samsung's Series 9 should be on your shortlist. But be warned, a new wave of laptops powered by upcoming Intel Ivy Bridge processors are just around the corner.
