Dell Latitude E6330 Pro Reviews

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

The Fujitsu Lifebook S792 is a thin and light, very mobile notebook for business travelers. The long battery life and the bright display allow the user to venture outside and away from any outlets. The already very decent run times can be increased via a modular bay battery. Unfortunately, a few things are amiss - Fujitsu could definitely improve the notebook and its chassis by outfitting it with a sturdier display lid. The display leaves us torn: on one hand, the brightness levels are more than adequate, on the other hand the contrast is just too low and the viewing angle stability not quite good enough. Faithful readers of our reviews will notice that we had some of the same complaints about the Lifebook S761. Users needing a slim, but high performance system with long battery life, plenty of expansion options and good support should definitely take a closer look at the Lifebook S792. With the Latitude E6330, Dell offers business orientated value and equips the test model with various security features, communications modules (sometimes optional) and good input devices. Furthermore, the Tri Metal casing is very robust and durable. As usual with devices for professional use the display surface is non-reflective. Nevertheless, the test device is not fully suitable for work while on the move, since the screen is too dark for clear use in direct sunlight. The user can look forward to excellent system performance here. Thanks to the fast SSD both data and programs are loaded quickly. Models with different installed components can be clearly slower. In favour of longer battery life, Dell doesn't offer dedicated graphics cards with any of these models. With the integrated Graphics 4000 you can't expect any real 3D gaming power. Overall, the Latitude E6330 subnotebook is designed for professional office use. In Fujitsu's LifeBook S792 we find a direct competitor, which has a brighter, outdoor capable screen and a longer battery life with comprable (depending on the test) to somewhat better test results.

PC World‘s review Edit

The Dell Latitude E6330 may not be a gaming powerhouse or a sleek Ultrabook, but it's still a good choice for business users. The E6330 is a good performer, and it performs especially well in the areas business users will be interested in—in our tests it posted excellent scores in Web performance, Office productivity, and storage performance, for example. In fact, its storage performance score (404.6) is the best of the ultraportable category. So while the Latitude E6330 is not an ideal choice for watching videos, it's great for performing business-focused tasks such as using Office programs and browsing the Web.
