GALAXY GeForce GTX670 GC Pro Reviews

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

Galaxy has really put together a great graphics card with a custom cooler with understated looks and touches like the blue illuminated GTX 600 logo and the "kepler" script on the bottom in addition to providing better cooling capability and low noise. The overclocked speeds and 4GB of GDDR5 memory running at 6.0 GHz give the Galaxy GTX 670 GC 4GB a lot of bragging rights for gamers while also offering performance advantages for ultra-high resolution gaming at a cost lower than the cheapest GTX 680s.

The GALAXY GeForce GTX 680 GC does carry a premium over other basic GeForce GTX 680 cards. You will find it about $30 more expensive, $534.99. The question is, "Is the $30 premium over MSRP worth it?" In this case, we think it is. GALAXY has completely customized this video card from the ground up building an entirely custom designed printed circuit board and cooling system on the GTX 680. GALAXY was able to maintain a slim profile yet still get above 1.2GHz real-time actual GPU Boost clock speeds out of this GPU. Our gameplay testing revealed it allowed real-world gameplay advantages and faster performance over stock GTX 680 in every game. These cards are a beast in SLI, providing us the best performance possible at 5760x1200. There is no question these also beat Radeon HD 7970 CrossFireX to the punch at every turn. There is even more room to overclock as we found out, getting in that realm of upper 1.2GHz operation in games. There simply is no better right now if you want to setup an SLI configuration. This is your best solution right now for having the best SLI performance you can get in games. The factory boosted clock speed had real advantages in games, and there is potential for faster performance. GALAXY has outdone itself with the GALAXY GTX 680 GC video cards. These are sleek, run cool, and are the fastest thing on the planet right now.

The factory overclock marks the primary selling point for this card. The GALAXY GeForce GTX 670 GC provided better gaming performance than on the Radeon HD 7950, which can be purchased for anywhere between $359 and $459. The GALAXY GeForce GTX 670 GC also provided better gaming performance than the GeForce GTX 580 that is available between $379 and $479. The GALAXY GeForce GTX 670 GC cooling system did its job, and did so quietly and it is also far more power efficient than last generation video cards. The GALAXY GeForce GTX 670 GC can be purchased at Newegg for $439.99. You can save a few dollars at Amazon currently as it has stock at $439.99 with FREE Prime Shipping. The price is right for the GALAXY GeForce GTX 670 GC. It has better performance than video cards in the same price range, and it met the performance of a stock GeForce GTX 680 which sells for $500 and up. You can get performance similar to a stock clock GeForce GTX 680 for less money with this video card, and even better if you overclock it further yourself. It is certainly worth again mentioning that GALAXY representatives actively monitor the HardForum's NVIDIA section should you ever have issues or simply questions about your new GALAXY video car, so buy with confidence.
