Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Victory is a pretty good smartphone for Virgin Mobile, and 4G LTE support gives it a leg up on the competition.

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE performs just as a $99 mid-range phone should. It gets most features just about right, falls short on some, and doesn't really excel at any. In my mind, the biggest red flag was the laggy performance in the user interface that I saw. Slow software gets old really, really, fast and often left me frustrated and tapping my foot impatiently. With limited access to LTE, the slower data speeds I encountered along Sprint's not-so-super 3G super-highway left me longing for Wi-Fi, and the inconsistent phone calls had me asking my friends and family to repeat themselves too often. But the camera works just fine, and the multimedia functions are as robust as any other Android smartphone. Add to those the working class grunt of the Android 4.0 messaging tools and you've got a decent little machine. It might help the Victory's cause if it had perhaps a bit more personality, but I don't hear any victory marches ringing out for this phone.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE is a solid budget Android 4.0 smartphone that's worth the $50 on-contract fee for those who are watching their wallets. Since it's the same price as the LG Viper but trails behind in camera quality, I'd recommend the Viper over the Victory, now that the Viper has updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, keep in mind that audio quality on the Viper is also problematic, and the battery is a bit smaller.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE for Sprint is too average to live up to its name.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE does a good job of bringing a lot of the functionality and features of the Galaxy S III while remaining more affordable. With a good camera, a nice display and speedy performance the Galaxy Victory offers a lot of value. It may not be as sexy as its big brother, but for $100 on contract you could do a lot worse.
