Acer Aspire AS5733-6489 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

The AS5733-6489 delivers an impressive mix of software, considering its price. The OS is 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, which includes all manner of utilities and the underappreciated Media Center multimedia environment for playing music, watching DVDs and slideshows, and more. (Plus, as noted earlier, the Acer Clear.fi utility also serves as a slick multimedia organization/playback app if you own a bunch of other Acer systems.) On a more pragmatic note, Acer supplies its eRecovery Manager and Backup Manager tools for performing those functions, along with the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam utility for capturing video and still via the built-in camera. That last utility is very basic, and does not deliver the monitoring features and neat effects we have seen in some third-party Webcam apps (such as from the likes of CyberLink, in the form of its YouCam software), but it gets the job done.
