ASUS U44SG Pro Reviews

The Asus U44SG is a solid, stylish, fast and well-equipped subnotebook. In comparison to its 13-inch brethren, the performance is higher and the laptop has a brighter and larger, matt 14 inch display. The Solid State Drive should deliver good work performance and is quite large: 256 GB. The battery life has gotten better despite the faster hardware, and this indicates well-designed energy management. Also, on the pro side, the low noise and temperature emissions at low load. This pro turns to a con when the laptop is under constant load as the fan can get quite loud and the temperature emissions can rise high. The left touchpad key did not react well and the second RAM slot could not be used due to a bent pin. These flaws could be considered unique to our test model, but we believe that Asus still has a lot of areas to optimize: the display (contrast ratio, viewing angles), the ports (especially 3G) and the availability of the 4-cell battery.
