I gave the Brother MFC-9320cw a favorable review back in 2009 because it mixed a compact design, quick print speeds, quality output and high-end features into a fairly affordable package. And while wireless connectivity and front side USB ports might be slightly more standard in 2012, all of the above still rings true on the MFC-9325cw. Faster print speeds at 19 ppm but still offers the quality output and business centric features that a small office can thrive with. It's not a perfect device and offices with higher print volumes might miss standard features such as automatic duplexing or the ability to add a second paper drawer. And the initial cost and long run consumables might seem less affordable to a home office with one individual working, but overall I believe the Brother MFC-9325cw to be a reliable, affordable color laser-class all-in-one for a small business.

Overall, the Brother MFC-9325CW is a strong-performing laser-class multifunction printer. Aside from its inability to reproduce skin tones well in our Copy Performance Test—a common shortcoming among both laser-class and inkjet entry-level devices—it churns out high-quality business documents. It also scans well without user intervention, which is always a plus. As to its feature set, it doesn't lack much. An automatic-duplexing ADF for scanning, copying, and faxing two-sided multipage documents would be nice, but most businesses can get by without this function. However, there's no ignoring the onslaught of inexpensive-to-use inkjet AIOs on the market now. Brother, as well as the manufacturers of other entry-level laser and LED printers, needs to rethink its positioning of this class of product. Monochrome prints at nearly 5 cents per page and color prints at almost 20 cents per page will undoubtedly chase many would-be buyers away, especially considering that you can get color pages at Kinko's and other document-service bureaus for about 25 cents a pop.
