Acer's Liquid series phones only occasionally reach the FCC, so it's with some surprise that we've just spotted the still-fresh Liquid Glow getting the US agency's approval under its E330 model name. Details are scarce as to whether or not there's been any changes made to the Android 4.0 phone on its way out of Taiwan, however: there's no telltale signs like cellular frequencies or carrier badging. If anything, Acer is hoping to keep information hush-hush by stamping a 180-day confidentiality seal on the manual and photos. It's entirely possible that this is the international GSM model with no 3G support for North American carriers, so we wouldn't get worked up about local release plans. Eve...

Acer Liquid Glow to help define budget Android 4.0

Acer has followed up the CloudMobile with a second smartphone due at Mobile World Congress. The Liquid Glow will carry Acer's lightly skinned version of Android 4.0, but with a more modest 3.7-inch display. The newer, curvier design will be its own highlight, with colors such as Alpine White and Sakura Pink on the back that will be matched to the display at the front.
A five-megapixel camera with a flash is standard, and NFC is new to Acer's Liquid line. The short-range wireless here is useful for Android Beam device-to-device sharing with other Android 4.0 owners as well as the usual tag reading and mobile payments. Most other details have been left out so far, although Android 4.0 perform....

Acer Liquid Glow gets unveiled, coming to MWC 2012

Here comes another Android smartphone that we will get to check out next week in Barcelona – the Acer Liquid Glow. The company just announced the handset officially confirming that it will be shown off at the MWC 2012 expo.
In terms of specs, we don't really know much as to what the Acer Liquid Glow has to offer. However, it seems like it will be a mid-range device, given that it sports a 3.7-inch display and a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash. Furthermore, the smartphone will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and will support NFC.
