HP Z1 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

HP backs the Z1 with a three-year parts-and-labor warranty that also includes on-site service. By comparison, most consumer PCs and even many business-class systems come with only one year of coverage.HP also keeps the Z1 free of bloatware. It features Windows 7 Professional, the ad-supported and limited (to subsets of Word and Excel) Microsoft Office 2010 Starter, and little else. CyberLink's YouCam is provided to operate the Webcam, but this application was left off of our review unit in error. In the end, it's an easy recommendation: If you want an all-in-one workstation in your office, the HP Z1 is the only game in town. Oftentimes, a first-generation product has a few kinks that get ironed out by version 2.0. During our time with the system, however, we did not find the marriage of all-in-one and workstation an awkward one. The HP Z1 boasts a sleek design but is also easy to open for upgrades or repairs. It packs high-power, professional-grade components, yet it runs quietly. It truly is the best of both worlds.

PC World‘s review Edit

The expensive Z1 all-in-one has both brains and beauty, but it also has some issues that are impossible to ignore.

Stupendous design, plenty of power crammed in and a stonking screen make the high price worth paying

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The HP Z1 Workstation is gorgeous and powerful, but it's definitely not perfect. My biggest issue with the system is that it lacks a touchscreen, a feature that most of its competitors have. The Z1 also has difficult-to-access ports, an inconveniently deep stand, and mediocre peripherals. These problems aren't usually deal breakers, but for this money I pretty much expect perfection. Still, the Z1 is exceedingly powerful for an AIO, and it's also extremely attractive. So if you like traditional input devices (and you have your own), and if you have a lot of desk space to spare, you may want to check out this beauty. Plus, the ability to open the PC up and swap out parts, even if it's fairly cramped in there, is something you won't find in any other all-in-one.
