Epson EH-TW6000 Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Sibling rivalry can be vicious, as your correspondent's long suffering little brother would know. The poor sap has taken some beatings over the years, but then he's the junior member of the widely-lauded Laird clan. When it comes to Epson's projectors, however, it looks like this mid-range EH-TW6000W has the smackdown on the pricier Epson TW9000W. It's certainly hard to justify the extra £1,500 based on specs alone.

Impressive, and a fair bargain. Few projectors are this complete at twice the price

AVForums‘s review Edit

The arrival of the EH-TW6000 - and its siblings - is a clear statement of intent from Epson providing the opportunity of 3D performance from a 3 chip device at a previously unobtainable price point. Aside from the obvious addition of 3D, the new projectors differ from the previous Epson range in a number of other areas. First of all, the chassis has had a make-over and the new design is both attractive and well built. There’s a reasonably comprehensive set of connections at the back and the provided remote control is well thought out and easy to use. Whilst a manual zoom and focus is no surprise at this price point, the absence of any lens shift does make installation more difficult than it needs to be.

Overall, the EH-TW6000 isn’t drastically different from its cheaper sibling EH-TW5900. Picture quality is very similar, but the extra brightness gives the TW6000 the edge for watching 3D content. We'd recommend saving the extra cash and buying the Epson EH-TW5900 instead.
